I have 2 slimline cards to share with you today using the Have a Brew-tiful Day stamp set and the Iced, Iced Baby Add-on set. I am also using the Jess Francisco In Bloom stencil with 2 different techniques.

The first card that I created is a slimline card that measures 4 x 8-1/2″. It’s got a monochromatic color scheme, as well as some texture paste used with the In Bloom stencil.

I mixed the opaque matte texture paste from Ranger with some of the white Snow Flurries Sugar Sparkle glitter hoping to create a lot of sparkle in the paste.

Instead of getting sparkle, I got an interesting texture. If you want sparkle, consider mixing in silver sugar sparkle or a color of sugar sparkle.

I added the paste with a palette knife through the stencil and set this aside to dry while I completed the rest of the pieces for the card.

I stamped the cup in Pop Art ink and then used my Copics in BG 19, 15, 13, and 11 to color in the cup rim and handle. The coffee was stamped in a medium brown ink. I then stamped the Latte foam in the clear ink and used white embossing powder to heat emboss this detail.

I fussy cut out the cup and the coffee piece and added foam tape to the backs and popped them up on the dry doily.

The sentiment was stamped in eclipse black ink and I added some teal cardstock behind it so it would pop off the card front.

I added a few crown jewel gems in teal to finish off the card.

CARD DIMENSIONS:

  • Card base in white cut 8 x 8-1/2″, scored at 4″
  • Teal cardstock cut at 3-7/8 x 8-3/8″
  • White cardstock cut at 3-3/4 x 8-1/4″

I also created a mini slimline card with the same two stamp sets and the stencil. This time, I used a background that I had made from a gel printing session from a month ago.

My favorite one was pulled one out and trimmed it down to 2-7/8 x5-7/8″. I stenciled the In Bloom stencil in white pigment ink and I love the look I got with this!

Yellowstone ink and Copics Y 17, 15, 13, and 11 created my cup this time. I stamped the coffee layer right on top of the cup and used pigment ink to stamp the latte foam on top of that.

The sentiment was stamped in Eclipse black ink and added to the card. I placed a piece of white cardstock behind my card topper to create a thin line of white between the decorative top and the Yellowstone cardstock card base.

This has some gold or amber crown jewel gems to finish it off!

CARD DIMENSIONS:

  • Card base in Yellowstone cut 6 x6″, scored at 3″
  • White cardstock cut just big enough to see around the gel print piece.
  • Gel print piece cut at 2-7/8 x 5-7/8″
