Hello Crafty Friends! Jessica Vasher here back with another card for you today! When I sat down to make this card, I wanted to take it back to the basics. Ink… and Stamps. I forget how easy and rewarding just stamping on a card panel can be! Below is my return back to the basic card.
Here is a list of supplies to
- Stamps
- Stencil
- Inks:
- Color Hive Ink Pad – Eclipse Black (alcohol marker safe)
- Various Boho colors
- Pretties
- Basics
- White card stock panel – stamping
- A2 SIDE FOLD – Perfect Fold, Scored A2 Side Fold Card Base
- Foam tape
- Score Board
- Clear Embossing Powder
- Embossing Marker
- Clear Embossing Powder
- Rose Gold Dual Tip Powder Brush
- Right on Point Teflon Bone Folder Pencil

I started off by adhering my card panel to the Watercolor Stripes – Alex Syberia Design stencil. I grabbed some of my blending brushes and used a very light brown to create the stripped background. Once I had the brown evenly and softly brushed on, I grabbed my stamping platform and loaded a stamp into it from the Maker Forte – Boho Watercolor Elements. I began inking, stamping and then removing the stamps and adding new ones. I loved being able to build my own design. I made sure that I overlapped in some areas as well as tried to ensure that I have the four colors I used on the panel at least three times.

I loved the different shapes in the set and enjoyed creating a little abstract piece of art with it!
Once I have enough design inked down, I knew I wanted to used the Kaleidoscope powders, but I wanted it to be controlled. So I grabbed a embossing pen and lightly highlighted some of the shapes. Once I had the designs down, I used my brush and picked up some of the powder and brushed it over the went designs. It stuck so beautifully! I will say though, its hard to see in these photos, but this powder is SUPER FUN!

I finished the card off with a sentiment from the Maker Forte Sentiment: Grateful to You – Varada Sharma set using the Color Hive Ink Pad – Eclipse Black and setting it with clear embossing powder.
You can never have enough birthday cards! And here’s a little secret. I actually made 4 cards when creating this beauty because inking and stamping allow for quick production!
I really loved the easy of creating this card. Do you enjoy one layer cards with just ink and stamps?
