Hello makers! Today I have a fun slimline card to share using a messy water color technique and the Be-You-Tiful stamp set. This stamp set is so pretty and I think coloring it would be a dream, but today I was in the mood for loose water coloring and the size is perfect to get a full rainbow of color.
Creating this card was so much fun, because it was loose and required very little control. Watching the colors meld together is the best part of this technique. I started by stamping the Be-You-Tiful floral image onto water color card stock and heat embossing it for texture. Next I smooshed down Color Hive Inks in the colors: Flamingo, Telephone Box, English Mustard, Palm Tree, Vegas Strip, and Coronation Purple onto a glass mat and used a wet brush to pick up the color. I applied the colors in Rainbow order over the flowers starting with the pink all the way through purple and heat set the panel before repeating the process. Once the panel was completely dry, I stamped the front sentiment before moving onto to the card base. I stamped the large sentiment on the inside of a Slimline Perfect Fold Card Base before assembling the card and adding iridescent gems from my stash.
