Hi friends! Kim from Stamping Imperfection here today with a video to share and 3 different color combinations for the Be-You-Tiful stamp set.
This stamp set is just to pretty to pass up and I see a lot of versatility with it. Before I do any experimenting with this stamp set, I had to find a color combination that worked for me.

I started out just playing around with some dye inks to watercolor the image and then I heat embossed the sentiment in gold on top of the image. I liked it, but thought it might work better with a lighter color of ink and darker heat embossing.

One combination that I tried was to use alcohol markers in a yellow. I heat embossed the sentiment over the top in a Copper color. I actually really liked this combination. I used the Acid Wash Color Hive ink to do a soft watercolor wash around the floral.

My final combination was a watercolor. Here I used my little Koi Watercolor paint set from Sakura and did a quick watercoloring in red, orange and yellow for the flowers. This time I heat embossed the sentiment in white. this is definitely the one that the sentiment showed up the best on.
As you can see, I liked it so much that I framed it! I’m tucking this away and I will send it to my Mom for whatever gift giving holiday comes next.
Maybe she will hang it on the refrigerator next to the card I made her for Mother’s Day. Having your work displayed on the refrigerator just never gets old!
This stamp set makes perfect slimline cards. My cards are all cut at 7 x 8-1/2″ and they are scored and folded at 3-1/2″.
I do think that you could use this image on a regular A2 sized card. You wouldn’t fit the entire image, but you could certainly get a nice row of flowers across your card that you can color in with your favorite medium or just leave black and white.
I am also thinking that this will make a beautiful title for a scrapbook layout!! You know I will be trying that out soon!
