Hi friends! Carisa here with you again and today I am sharing another very simple card to create using the new Bubbling with Excitement stamp set. I fell in love with the gnome images in this set as soon as I saw it and I don’t think I’m alone in that. Do you love seeing the gnomes everywhere you go or is it just me? I literally cannot wait to get some for Christmas already. These little guys just have so much sass.

My first thought when I saw the large background stamp was that it was SNOW! Then, I stepped back for a minute looking at the theme of the set and had an aha moment…they are fizzy bubbles like in champagne! haha However, I still think this would be an awesome stamp to create falling snow for another card which is just a way to stretch this set even further. I first stamped it with our clear ink and embossed it with white embossing powder. Once that was completely cooled, I started ink blending the background with a light purple and punk distress oxide ink. There is something magical about seeing the embossing resist that ink as you build up the color!

Next, I found this awesome gnome stencil in my stash and thought it would be super cute to add more texture to the background…at this point, it was giving me Dumbo vibes…do you know the scene I’m talking about?! Whoops, but oh well, I am loving it and decided to move on.

Now it was time to add our super cool gnomie. I inked him up in Eclipse Black ink because I was dusting off the Copic Markers for this guy! I kept the coloring super simple using a 2 marker blend for most areas except the greys and a touch of pink on his cute little button nose. I added just a touch of sparkle to the champagne glasses and more texture to the background with a few splatters of mica spray.

That completes my card today – if you’d like to view the entire process video, please feel free to head over to my YouTube channel! Thanks so much for stopping by and I will see you next time.
