Have you tried any Kaleidoscope Powders in any of your projects? Marj here from MarjBanzalesDesigns bringing you my first project with Maker Forte as Design Team Member! For my project today, I have a slimline card Butterflies with Kaleisdospe Powder.

Do you love to make an easy background for a project? I have been doing that most of the time to easily create a project anytime. I love using paint splatters with different colors. If you can use a stamp and an ink pad that’s a plus! That’s a game changer and easy to create several cards in a matter of time. Don’t you think?

Well, let’s get started:

First, I started by using one of the pre folded Ultra White heavy weight Slimline card base and folded it in half using the Maker Forte Teflon Bone Folder. Then, I trimmed a Stormy Metallic Slate Cardstock a little shorter than the card base. This will serve as my2nd layer and another pop of color. Once done, I glued it using a strong glue and set it aside to dry.

Next, I trimmed the Solid Core Matcha Cardstock to 3.25 x 8.25 inches as my card panel and started to make the background. Using the Splatter Rubber Stamp Style 1 and Eclipse Black Ink, I stamped it to my card panel. Also, I stamped it all over to make and make sure the whole panel is covered. I love how it turned out and no mess at all with this technique with the help of the stamp.

After that, I used the Build a Butterfly Stamp Set and stamped the butterfly 3 times using the Eclipse Black Ink to a white cardstock then colored with my Arteza Ever Blend Ultra Art Markers. Once done, I fussy cut them and added a little bit of the Neptune Interference Kaleidoscope Powder, and added a strip of double sided tape to the middle of the image.

This Kaleidoscope Powder is so beautiful and a little bit goes a long way. Next time I will add this to plain water and check if it gives some shine.

Next, I added my background panel to my card base using strong glue and let it sit for a bit. While it’s drying , I stamped the sentiment onto white cardstock and fussy cut it too. Then, adhered it to Stormy Metallic Slate Cardstock for a little shine then fussy cut it again and added some double sided tape.

To assemble, I added the 3 butterflies in the front of the card and added the sentiment in the front bottom of the card and we are done!

Overall, I love how this card turned out and no need for additional embellishments as the butterflies are so shiny!
