Hi everyone! Carisa here and I want to share my favorite way to watercolor stamped images. When I saw the new Cheers stamp set, I fell in love with the loose sketchy feel to the stamps and right away I wanted to pull out my watercolors. They’ve been sadly neglected for awhile so it felt good to dust them off and use what I have to say is my favorite medium. I stamped my images with a waterproof black ink on 140lbs watercolor paper.

If you pick up the stamp set Cheers, then you absolutely have to pick up the sentiment set Soda-lightful! It has tons of puny sentiments to go along with it. In this close up you can see just one of many. Plus, I absolutely love how the watercoloring looks. This is why I loved the loose sketchy stamps to go along with my loose wet on wet watercolor painting style.

Here is another fabulous sentiment from that stamp set – I love how the HUG is capitalized but the e is not…I need a HUG and huge margarita, right?! haha They just go hand in hand. I am so happy with the way this card turned out. I love a simply watercolored image to take up the whole focal point of a card front without the fuss of layers or a lot of embellishments. I didn’t even add one sequin believe it or not. The only accent I added was a bit of Unicorn Stickles for the salt around the rim of the glasses because I don’t know about you but a margarita is not a margarita without the salt!
I hope you will enjoy this process video as well which details the way I watercolored this stamp for my card.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
