Hi there friends! I’m up on the blog today creating a slimline Christmas card. Can you believe it’s almost November?!

Today I am using the Gingerbread Village stamp set. I love this set because it gives you the option to not color the images, which is what I did today.

I started out with a piece of Maker Forte Ultra White Cardstock cut to about 3 x 6. Since I knew that I would be stamping multiple times, I placed the cardstock in a stamping platform tool. I then inked up the gingerbread house silhouette stamp in Catherine Pooler inks Party Dress, Limoncello, Aquatini, Lime Rickey and Tiki Torch. Each ink overlapped the next. This step was repeated several times. I inked up the stamp one last time and then spritzed the stamp with some water. I then stamped right over the previously stamped image giving a watercolor effect. I then stamped the sentiment in Versafine Black ink. For the background, I used the Diamonds and Parallelograms stencil with Antique Linen Distress Ink and Catherine Pooler Lime Rickey.

To finish the card, I die cut the cardstock with a die from my stash. This panel was then adhered to a piece of British Racing Green cardstock. A few sequins and some gold splatter were added along with twine and a bow.

I hope you create something today! Thanks so much for stopping by!
