Hello friends! If you’ve been following for a while, you’ve noticed that I rarely make CAS ( Clean and Simple) cards. I like dimension and layers. Even if I just make a stenciled front, the sentiment is almost always popped with foam tape. For today’s card, I just wanted a simple birthday card with rainbow blended background.

To start off, I cut a piece of printer paper to 4¼ x 5½. Using my scissors, I cut a small hole in the center of the panel. Then, tearing away from me, I ripped the center out until I got the desired shape. I ran repositionable adhesive all along the the shape and placed it down on an A2 panel of White Heavy Weight Cardstock.

I taped down the card front to my desk. I didn’t want it to shift or move while I was blending. Starting off, I used Tim Holtz Abandoned Coral and Spiced Marmalade. I then blended in California Love, Lady Liberty, Neon Lights, and finishing it off with Blueberry Cheesecake. The reveal is always my favorite part of blending with a stencil.

You can never have too many sentiments right?!? I just got this stamp set, Box Sentiment, and I am loving it. It’s got something for every occasion.

I stamped the box first in Eclipse Black. I will admit, it did take me a while to get the sides straight, but it was worth the trouble. I then lined up the word and again used Eclipse Black to ink them up. If you haven’t used this ink, you really should get it. It’s a beautiful solid crisp black.

There really wasn’t much left to do for this card. I trimmed the panel down slightly to approx. 4⅛ x 5⅜. Just enough to give a border. I then glued it to a A2 Top Fold Card Base

Until next time – Jackie ❤
