Today, I am sharing 2 clean and simple teacher cards from the new release. I planned on showing 5, but things happen and unfortunately, a couple of the items were delayed and I can’t show them today. Here are the 2 I have for you today.

The papers in this release are so colorful and fun. I don’t have kids, but I thought it would fun to make a few cards for my friends to give to their kids’ teachers. I know this year has been a rough one!

Let’s start with the green one.

I started by cutting some of the patterned paper from the School Days 6x6in patterned paper pack by The Hedgehog Hollow and Maker Forte. The green piece with the white triangles measures 2.5in x 5.5in & the piece with the ABC’s measures 1inx5.5in. Next, I die cut the diamond piece out of some Mint Chip cardstock by Maker Forte using the Double Stitched Diamonds Dies by Honey Bee Stamps. I also, wanted to pop up the diamond, so I used the same die to cut a piece of white craft foam.

After all my cutting was done, I picked a sentiment from the Teach with Heart stamp set by The Hedgehog Hollow & Maker Forte. I chose “Only the Brave Teach.” It has a pencil image next to the sentiment, but it wouldn’t fit on my diamond die cut, so I use post it note tape to mask off the image while inking up the stamp with Maker Forte’s Eclipse Black Ink. Be sure to remove that post it note tape before you stamp your stamp!

Once, done stamping my sentiment, I glued the craft foam diamond die cut to the back of the Mint Chip cardstock diamond. I glued both the patterned paper pieces flat to my card base and the dimensional diamond was centered on the edge of the largest piece of patterned paper.

Next, we have the pink card. I really love how this one turned out and honestly, pink is not my favorite color.

I started by cutting 3 circles of the same size with a Spellbinders nesting die set that I have. I chose the size by which one fit the sentiment I wanted to use from the Teach with Heart stamp set. Two of the circles are cut out of the School Days 6x6in patterned paper pack and one of the circles is cut out of Bubblegum cardstock. I also cut a small, half inch by 4.25in strip to go across the card out of the same School Days patterned paper pack.

After I got everything cut, I chose my sentiment, “The influence of a good teacher can never by erased” that is shaped in a heart around the word teacher. I stamped that on the bubblegum cardstock circle in Eclipse Black ink. Next, I glued the strip & the two patterned paper circles down flat to the card. I decided to pop the sentiment circle up and as I thought I was finished I look over and see this flower that has been sitting on my desk for a couple weeks needing a home. It’s from a video I did a few weeks ago where I was showing a couple ways to stretch dies. This was from a Poinsettia die set (listed in the supply list) and I turned it into a lily. Anyways, I thought it would look nice on the card, so I added it.
