Hi eveyrone,

Are you dreaming about spring yet? I’m looking at a bunch of snow in my backyard, wiping it off my poor dogs snow covered fur, and wishing that spring were here! Well, since I obviously can’t make that magic happen, the next best thing is to bring spring to my cards! So today I’m going to share two colorful spring floral backgrounds using the Happy Flowers stamp set and Catherine Pooler’s newest ink set called Date Night.

I made two cards to show you the gorgeous colors of Catherine Pooler’s new ink colors. Aren’t they vibrant and springy? And the Happy Flowers stamp set is PERFECT for a colorful spring background because the flowers are bold and large. The stamp set was designed by Alex Syberia for Mker Forte, and it’s a favorite of mine!

I used my Misti to get a clear image of the flowers using all of the Date Night ink colors. I repeated the stamping process until my background was filled, with just enough white space to contrast with those scrumptious colors!

Next, I die cut my background and some mirrored black cardstock with slimline sized dies and adhered them to a white card base sized 8.5 x 3.5.

I finished with a new sentiment die cut from Simon Says Stamp because it was bold, yet not too big to steal the show from the colorful background! Those backgrounds are the focal point with these cards! What I like best is that these are not bulky cards, so they are easy to mail!
