Hi there crafty friends! It’s Jen S here today with another quick and easy card.

Once you are done here, check out the short video that goes along with this card:

For my card today, I am using the Candy Floss Dreams stamp set from the August release. I had dreams in my head of Copic coloring the cotton candy in fabulous, amazing colors good enough to eat. Then I remembered that I’m not a colorist. I didn’t let that stop me though!

I started by cutting a piece of 8 ½ x 11 Hammermill cardstock in half. I placed my image onto a stamping block and inked it up with Maker Forte Eclipse Black ink. I then stamped the image about 10 times onto the cardstock. I didn’t have an exact idea of the card layout so I stamped more than I would need.

From those stamped images ,I chose the five best and started coloring at the top of each cotton candy with the color RV21. Next, the middle portion was colored with B00 and the bottom portion with Y06. To get additional colors without using additional markers, I made sure to blend each color with the next. Blending pink RV21 and yellow Y06 created orange. While blending yellow Y06 and blue B00 created green. After an initial coat of marker, I went over the image again a second time. I finished off the coloring by adding brown to the cotton candy cones. All of the images were then fussy cut.

To create texture, I used a piece of Hammermill cardstock and an old Darice embossing folder from my stash. This textured piece was adhered to a 4 ¼ x 5 ½ card panel. Next, I used a piece of leftover pattern paper from the 6 x 6 Dots and Patterns paper pack and adhered over the embossed cardstock. I used a banner die to cut out a sentiment from the Jess Francisco All Seasons Sentiments Version 2. Foam tape was added to the sentiment and attached to the pattern paper. Three of the cotton candy images were then adhered to the bottom of the pattern paper. To finish off the card, a few heart embellishments were added.

I hope you create something today! Thanks so much for stopping by!
