Hello Friends! Katy here using the new Silhouette Stamp and Stencil Deer Dad to create a sunrise Happy Father’s Day Card.
I think everyone has a favorite technique when it comes to card making and it is no secret mine is ink blending. I also love to share tips and tricks on how easy it is to create a panel like this. Last week I shared how to create a sunset using Distress Inks and today I am sharing how to use a combination of Color Hive Inks and Distress Inks to create this sunrise.
I also give a tip on how to get solid black impressions with your Silhouette Stamps, if you struggle like I do.
I always find it easier to see and hear things in action and so as always I have a video for you listed below. If you have trouble watching here on the blog, be sure and click here to watch on Youtube.
I mentioned last week I do not have all the Color Hive Inks and it may take me awhile to get them all, but I wanted to show you that you can use a mix of ink brands to fill in the gaps, in case like me you don’t have all the colors.
One thing I want to mention (which I did in the video) is that I used Wild Honey Distress Ink, you can use English Mustard Color Hive Ink interchangeably with Wild Honey.
In the video I also show you how I re-inked my Eclipse Black Ink Pad, incase you were interested in seeing how it is done.
One More Thing…My panel started out at 5 1/2 inches x 4 1/4 inches. once all my stamping was done I trimmed the panel down to 5 1/4 inches x 4 inches.
