Hello friends! Katy here with another quick and easy masculine card project. I love love love background stamps and when the Distressed Plaid Stamp Set released last month I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. I do hope more background stamps are in the works…wink, wink Alexandra.

I kept these cards simple, one layer A2 size with heavyweight card stock. I inked up one panel in Color Hive Ink Icy Mist and the other in Tartan Teal. I added some metallic gilding using Metallic Lustre I had in my stash. In the video I mention that you could also use double sided adhesive with either gilding flakes or your foil sheets. I think it gives a nice finished look. I will say, be sure and stay off the score line, as you can see in the photos that area gets flexed a lot and it will flake off. I decided to go with it because it adds to the distressed look, but next time I will stay off the score line.

I made these for my Dad and my Husband. My Dad’s birthday falls right before Father’s Day and so I made a twofer so I wouldn’t have to mail two cards.

As always friends, I have a video tutorial below showing how this came together. If you have trouble watching click here to watch on Youtube.

Here is an up close of each card with their respective insides.
