Hi everyone,

Are you ready for Spring like I am? Are you longing to make brightly colored spring floral cards, wishing the outdoors looked like your card? Well, today is your lucky day because I’m ready and brave enough to share with you an easy spring floral card in the month of January! So feel free to dream about spring vicariously through my card!

With this featured card I am using Happy Flowers, a gorgeous 6×8 stamp designed by Alex Syberia for Maker Forte, along with Pinkfresh Studio inks in Sunshine, Mermaid Cove, and Raspberry Bliss. These inks are SO bright and cheerful, perfect for a spring floral card!

My original plan was to create a background using the florals on an A2 sized card, but these flowers are so big and playful that they deserved to be on a slimline sized card! I used 3 flowers from the set and stamped them in the 3 inks until there was a nice balance of color and size.

Once that was finished I added a few dots in yellow ink to fill up some white space and then adhered the sentiments “Choose Happiness” from this 6×8 stamp set. On a side note, there are a lot of fun sentiments in this stamp set!

The final step was to adhere my spring flowers to mirrored black cardstock and onto a white slimline sized cardbase. The black cardstock helps the focal point stand out even more! Now if this card doesn’t scream I WANT SPRING HERE NOW, then I don’t know what else to do! I know, I know, wait patiently. Sigh.
