Hello again my crafty friends. Jackie here with you today. Have you ever needed a last minute card? Well I’m here to tell you that using stencils is one of the fastest ways to get a cards made in a hurry.

Using stencils requires very little to make a big statement. I taped down the Hexagon Burst stencil to a A2 Top Folding cardstock.

Then picking a rainbow of colors. It’s better to start off with a light blend. Otherwise the color could be splotchy. I build the colors by going back over it and blending for a soft transition. I started with Bubblegum then moved on to Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Lady Liberty, and Blue Raspberry . Finishing off with Blueberry Cheesecake.

Since I already had the stencil and inks out, I decided to make an extra card. This time I just randomly added the Blue Raspberry and Blueberry Cheesecake ink across the panel.

If you haven’t tried Deco foil, I highly suggest you do. There are so many different ways to use it. Check out the Foiling Friday video on Youtube. For this sentiment, I used my Gemini Hot foil machine and a solid plate. I find that it works better for me than my laminating machine. But I suggest you try different ways and see what works best for you.

Any ho, back to the sentiment. I chose one from the Ephemera Birthday Sentiments pack. These come with a positive and negative. I foiled the positive (on the right) using the Deep Blue Deco Foil. With the negative, I foiled the the left. The black was too dark to see on the blue, so I foiled again using Purple Deco Foil.

Of course, I had to add dimension foam tape to both and centered them on the card fronts.

I hope you fine inspiration in these cards and try it yourself.

Until next time – Jackieā¤
