Hello everyone, Amber Rain Davis here sharing how to elevate your slimline watercolor floral cards with Kaleidoscope Powder. I’m thrilled to be guest designing at Maker Forte this month!

All the details to create this card featuring Alex Syberia Christmas Rose Stamp Set and Kaleidoscope Powders are in this short cardmaking video tutorial. Watch here or in HD on YouTube. While you’re there, I’d love it if you like, subscribe, and share it with your crafty friends!
Alex Syberia Christmas Rose
Watercolor florals are my jam and the Alex Syberia Christmas Rose Stamp Set is exceptional. The possible floral arrangement options are endless. What I love most about today’s floral design is that I didn’t have to do any masking!

Do you have watercolor paper scraps? Mine are piling up, so I grabbed one and trimmed it slightly to 2.5 x 7.5-inches. Next, I stamped the large rose, leaf cluster, and sentiment with Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink.
Be sure to watch the video for the watercolor painting and cardmaking process.
Kaleidoscope Powders
If you haven’t tried Kaleidoscope Powders, you’ll want to after seeing how easily it elevates your cards! Today, I used Neptune and Aurora powders on my slimline watercolor card.

Look at that gorgeous shimmer! Simply mix the powder with your watercolor paint or rehydrate it with a bit of water. Use a brush to paint the pigments or spritz it from a water bottle.
Tropical Sorbet #10 Envelope
A slimline card isn’t’ complete without a fancy slimline envelope. The Maker Forte Tropical Sorbet #10 Envelopes have a yummy metallic sheen and self-adhesive closure.

Due to the metallic surface, I recommend stamping with Staz-On ink to prevent smearing. Pigment inks like the one I used take much longer to dry.
Finishing The Slimline Card
Of course, this card needed splatter and nothing could be better than Aurora Kaleidoscope Powder splatter.
To finish off the card I matted the watercolor panel with Stardream Metallic Gold cardstock and adhered it to a 3.5 x 8.5-inch card base.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Do let me know what you think in the comments. I’ll be back next week with another watercolor card to delight you. Huge thanks to Alex and Niki for inviting me to guest design and to you guys for joining me today.
