Hello, it’s Kari here today with a fun project. Have you ever used your stencils to Emboss your project? Today I’m embossing with a stencil from the Maker Forte New release and I’m adding a foiled accent sentiment using the *new toner paper sheets!

Stencils are all the rage right now, and when I saw this stencil designed by Jess Fransisco I completely fell in love. I knew it was the first one I wanted to try out! Here’s the card I made:

If you’d like to see my video, I show you the embossing and the stenciling WITHOUT masking! I like to make it easy and I share some tricks for making this background quickly; watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

I share the items I got from the new release, too…so if you haven’t seen them yet, be sure to watch the video!

For this card, I first taped the stencil to my cardstock and ran it through my die cut machine WITH the embossing mat. This creates more of a 3-D look to your project.

Then, I used both finger daubers and small blending brushes to blend on the colors. For today, I used Distress Inks in Festive Berries, Evergreen Bough, Pine Needles, Tea Dye, and Antique Linen.

Then, I die cut the toner paper using a “merry” die I had in my stash. (I am so happy that Maker Forte now offers this Toner Paper!!) I cut some decofoil to go on top and ran it through my Minc machine on the #3 setting. You can also use a laminator for this. Look how beautiful that foil looks on the die cut toner paper!

To finish this card off, I cut some green glitter paper into a frame using 2 rectangle die cuts taped together.

Then, I mounted the panel onto a heavy-weight card base. VOILA! Done.

I hope you enjoyed this project today. I’ll see you next time!
