Easy and Fast Holiday Cards: Watercolor with Kaleidoscope Powder

Hello, it’s Kari with a fun project today! Do you need easy and fast holiday cards?! Today I’m going to show you how a beautiful stamp paired with an easy watercolor technique creates a fast and fantastic result!

I’m using the Poinsettia stamp set designed by Alex Syberia. This is a GORGEOUS stamp set with so many sentiments and a couple flower options.

For this duo of cards, I used the same layout with a variation in the sentiments. I took some Tiptree Jam paper, and watercolor paper and heat embossed them both with the beautiful poinsettia image.

Then, on the pink one, I painted quite simply with the Kaleidoscope powder in 3 colors. It’s difficult to see in the pictures, but you can see it a little better here:

See that glittery shine?!

For the watercolor card, I also used Kaleidoscope powder to underpaint (on the first layer), then I added bright watercolors over the top.

I think both cards took me under 20 minutes! Not bad for two cards! These are fun to make, too. See the video how-to below, or in HD on YouTube:

I hope you enjoyed these fast holiday cards today! I’ll be back soon with more to share. Happy Watercoloring!
