Hello crafty friends! Kimberly here and I have a treat for you today! I have an adorable card to share with you featuring a beautiful stamp set from Maker Forte called “My first Communion“. Look at that shine! It makes her look so heavenly. I have a quick video attached below to show you how I made this card.

I just love the shine the Maker Forte mercury Kaleidoscope Powder gives this card. I blended Pumice distress Oxide ink through the “In Bloom” Jess Francisco stencil” and brushed Mercury Kaleidoscope powder over it. {I sprayed it lightly with aerosol hairspray to set the powder so it wouldn’t rub off.} I also stamped the sentiment with Pumice Distress Oxide ink and used the kaleidoscope powder for that as well.

I stamped the girl using Eclipse Black re-Mark-able ink and colored her in with Copic Markers. {In the video, you can see how I added pleats to the dress with just a little color}
Dress: W1, W0, W00
Skin: E000, E00, R30-cheeks
Hair: Y32, E33, E35
I fussy cut her out and layered all of my panels together {listed in order from bottom to top}:
Card base: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
Stormy (Metallic Slate) cardstock: 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″
Ultra White – Heavy Weight 110lb Cover: 5 1/4″ x 4″
Stormy (Metallic Slate) cardstock: 3 1/8″ x 1 1/4″
Ultra White – Heavy Weight 110lb Cover: 3″ x 1 1/8″ {piece with sentiment}
I used foam to pop up the 5 3/” x 4 1/4″ white panel on the Stormy cardstock, but in the video I put the foam on the Stormy cardstock by mistake. I like the foam on the white panel better. I also popped up the girl image and sentiment panels using foam tape.

Thank you for stopping by! Have a happy crafty day!
