Hi there! I hope your week is starting out awesome!

Today I’m creating a mini-slimline card using the Alex Syberia To a Friend stamp set along with the Happy Birthday to the Baddest stamp set. Both of these are currently unavailable but if you click on the “Email when available” button you will be notified as soon as they come in.

To create this card, I started by cutting a piece of cardstock to 3 ½ x 6. I then used Versafine black ink to stamp the sentiment from the Happy Birthday to the Baddest stamp set. Next using Color Hive Clear ink, I stamped the cool friend image from the stamp set To a Friend. Gold embossing powder was sprinkled over the stamped image and a heat gun was used to melt the powder. I then used an embossing pen to draw lines over the letters in word “Baddest” and sprinkled with gold embossing powder and heat set. The flowers were then colored with Copics; R59, RV69 and R29 for the flower petals and C7 and 100 for the flower centers. The fun and AMAZING part comes next!

I cut a piece of Sunrise Lake foil to fit the mini slimline card panel. The foil was placed shiny side up over the stamped panel and placed into a carrier sheet. I set my Mini Minc to a setting of “2” and ran the foiled panel through the machine. And guess what? Yes! The foil re-heated the embossing powder which caused the foil to attach to it. And there you have it, a stamped image that can be foiled with no special tools or inks! This technique was something I recently watched Simon Hurley show on his channel. Have you seen this technique? I absolutely love it!

To complete the card I matted the panel onto a piece of black cardstock about 1/8 bigger than the panel. This was then matted to a piece of Welsh Dragon cardstock. To finish, the flower centers were filled in with Makers Magic Crystal Clear.

I hope you create something today! Thanks so much for stopping by!
