Hi everyone,

Are you ready for some shimmery slimline goodness? Well, today I’m showing you 3 cards that I foiled with Slimline Card Panels by Maker Forte. These panels come in a variety of designs and can be used as is or foiled!

Valentine’s Day was calling my name for this first Slimline Card Panel!

The first step was to foil the hearts Slimline Panel using Thermoweb’s Twinkling by Gina K Designs. Then I trimmed the panel to 8 x 3 in size.

Next I die cut a heart shape through the middle section of the Foiled Slimline Panel and popped it up onto foam tape for dimension. I finished with a foiled sentiment “Sending Hugs Sweet Friend”.

My next card is a Congratulatory one, inspired by the Star Slimline Panel!

I foiled this panel with Rainbow Deco Foil by Brutus Monroe and my laminator. I thought the rainbows were cheerful to match the theme of this card. Next, I die cut the center panel using Slimline Stitched dies from Pinkfresh Studio. This die cuts several layers, which makes it perfect to mix it all up!

I removed one of the foiled, die cut layers and replaced it with a white layer. This helped to compliment the white on the rest of the card. I finished with a foiled “Congratulations” sentiment and that was all this card needed! You don’t need to add much because the foil and designs speak for themselves!

Card #3 is a birthday one, because I always need birthday cards!

Here, I trimmed the star panel to 8 x 3 and adhered it over a slimline sized card base. Next, I die cut on Snowflurries cardstock using the same slimline die from card #2. Remember how I removed one of the foiled layers in card #2? Can you see it below in card #3?

Shifting things around between the 2 cards really helped everything to pop right off the page! I added foam tape to the innermost layer and placed my Happy Birthday sentiment over it. The Birthday sentiment is in a shiny mirrored cardstock so it shines along with the foil!

I hope that you give this technique a try with your slimline sized cards! It’s so easy to do and the foiled look is absolutely amazing! These are probably the easiest cards you’ll ever make! To shop the products featured, click on the product descriptions above. For my Instagram page, click here.
