What a beautiful Sunday we are having today! it reminds me of springtime when I was young and out chasing frogs in the local pond. This has inspired me to create this fun frog card using the new Maker Forte stamp set called ”unforgettable”.
I generally start my card making process by creating the background. For this background I am using the ”walk the plank” stencil which I am inking/blending only on the card layer through the ”circle spotlight” stencil. This created a circle of planks as the backdrop for the focal image. I knew I wanted an insect for the frog to eat so I stamped the insect trail directly over the circle. I cut a card front out of a houndstooth patterned paper to go with the gray planks.
Using stamps from the set I stamped and colored the frog, insect, plant and sentiment. These I arranged to a pleasing look. My final step was to add a few sequins. I did attach the frog and sentiment with foam squares to add dimension.
I think this is a clean and simple card that has many uses. Remember that the sentiment can be changed to make it even more versatile. Enjoy!
