Hello crafting friends, Trying my hand at a different style of card today. Using the ‘To a Friend’ Stamp Set from Maker Forte a collaboration with Alex Syberia. A sentiment as the focal image is not new to me but this sentiment has a powerful meaning. I hope it speaks to everyone as it did to me.

I started by stamping the glamorous lady from the stamp set and colored her using Copic Markers. A bright red hat was the only way to go with this lovely lady.

Now for the card layers, I cut a standard 5”x7” red card base and a layer 1 in white. I then stamped the sentiment on the white layer using Eclipse Black Remarkable Ink. Next I strategically stamped some red hearts onto the layer one. If you noticed I did stamp the sentiment a bit to the left to allow room for the glam gal to be placed onto the card without covering up the sentiment.

When I went to attach the girl to the card front I felt it needed something else. So I decided to add a thin black frame around the sentiment. Finally I placed the girl in the bottom right corner using foam tape to add dimension to the card.

This stamp set has a very elegant feel and I thought I knew what it would be when finished. I quickly found out it was way more then I hoped it would be. I did make some adjustments along the way just as many of you do when creating. So the moral of this story is to go with the flow and follow your heart when creating. Happy card making to you all!
