Hello crafty friends! Today, I am sharing this beautiful shaker bookmark!

To make this interactive bookmark, I began by cutting down my border. I used a scalloped slimline die from Pink and Main and then cut it down to bookmark size.

I added some clear acetate to the back of the bookmark front. I also prepared it for my shaker elements by adding 3D foam strips all the way around the acetate. Next, I grabbed my Maker Forte Flower Cluster stamp set and stamped my sentiment onto the bookmark background. For my background, I am using a sheet of paper from the Night Garden Slimline Pack.

For my flower, I’m only using the upper portion of the flower. I stamped the image with the alcohol marker-friendly Color Hive Eclipse Black Ink. Then, I colored them with my Copic markers. I used R56, E04, RV11, Y26 and Y23 for my bloom.

For my leaves and stem, I used G03, G12, and G40.

Then, I added some beautiful Crown Jewel Gems inside my shaker portion and assembled the bookmark. I glued my colored flower onto the front of the bookmark with liquid glue.

I finished it off by tying some twine to the top of the bookmark.

Don’t you think it just turned out so pretty? I might have to start reading books instead of my Kindle just so I can use it!

Thank you so much for stopping by the Maker Forte blog today! I hope this post made you smile!

Xoxo, Amanda
