Hey there Krafty Friends! Jen from Katahdin Krafts back on the blog today, with this elegant fall wedding card. We are losing our leaves here in northern Maine, but I’m not ready to let go of fall quite yet!
Getting into my project the first thing I did was cut a heavy weight cardstock to 5.5″ x 4.25″ and stamped the frame from “Snail Mail Everyday Sentiments.” I centered the frame onto my cardstock using my Misti tool and then stamped it several times with Maker Forte’s Eclipse Black Ink. Next, I used stamps from several different sets to fill in each rectangle spaces. I loved looking through my Hedgehog Hollow and Maker Forte stamp stashes to locate small fall images, these are what I picked, but there are so many more options! From the “Snail Mail Everyday Sentiments” I used the wedding cake, heart and leaf cluster. I used the pumpkin, “thankful & blessed” and small leaves from the “Hollow Days August Exclusive” stamp set. The single leaf is from the “Pumpkin Patch” set, and “Happiness Always” is from “Grateful to You.”
I used all Maker Forte Inks in the following colors: Red Leicester, Grand Canyon, Telephone Box, Everglades, and English Mustard. I also used Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide ink for my pumpkin.
After I stamped all my images, I trimmed my card panel to 5.25″ x 4″, this gave me room to add a coordinating card frame behind my card panel.
My card frame is 5.5″ x 4.25″ and to make it coordinate perfectly I simply dragged my ink pad along the edges (I was a little messy here, but adjusted my pad as I went).
Next, I adhered the card panel to the frame and added them to a 5.5″ x 4.25″ card base. To finish up my card I added a few “Solar Flare” gems.
I hope you love this card as much as I do! I was in a wedding this fall and that was my inspiration for a fall themed wedding card! Thank you so much for krafting with me again this week! I will see you back next month for some more inspiration! Happy krafting!
