Hello and Welcome back! I hope that your new year has been starting good and that you can now leave 2020 behind you… I am looking forward to what this year has to offer. Today I played with some of the new products that were released from Maker Forte yesterday. You can find a link here to all the products.
I have created two projects that were difficult for me to do. I have really challenged myself and my style as a card maker in these projects. I started by looking at the new pattern papers called Happy flower. I was inspired to create my own pattern when I flipped through it. So to do that, I used a stamp set that coordinates with the papers. This stamp is also called Happy Flowers. I love that this stamp set contains these big flowers that take up a big space. This makes it quick to fill in the front of a card. This stamp set would also work perfectly for scrapbooking where you often have a larger space to fill. They are also easy to cut out if you would like to do that.
I stamped the flowers using distress oxides. First on white paper and then I chose a light gray paper. I took a black marker that I had at home and scribbled over my stamped image. I tried to make my own leaves and to fill in the middle of the flowers with different shapes. for the sentiment on my cad I used the new Simple sayings on both my cards.
