This technique of using a stencil in making cards is popular nowadays as a lot of companies are creating beautiful stencils and not just one layer but several layers of stencils. I love how this Honey Bear stencil is such fun and there are different faces on one stencil. For today’s project, I used 2 different stencils, one for the background and one for the main focal point of the card.

Let’s get started:

To make this card, I started by making the background. with the Basket Weave Stencil. With this stencil it is easy to make different background. You’ll have to use your imagination to come up with any style. So many things I have in mind to make use of this amazing stencil. Next, with the help of blending brush and light hand, I apply the Color Hive Coral Keys Inkpad onto white cardstock.

Then, I started with Color Hive Frappe Inkpad followed by the Color Hive Eclipse Black for the main image of the card. For the ribbon, I decided to use a Glitter Gel Pen for some sparkle. After that, I fussy cut the image and added some double sided adhesive. Once done, I adhered to the front of the background and attached to the black card base.

Using Color Hive Eclipse Black, I stamped the sentiment happy, happy, happy birthday from the Many Happy Returns Stamp Set. To finish off the card, I added some silver rhinestones. Thank you so much for stopping by.
