Hello Crafty Friends,
Today I made a card to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day using the Maker Forte St. Patrick’s Day background stamp. I know many would use it strictly as a background but this stamp is too great to not let it shine on its own. To start the card design I chose my colors and of course had to go with the traditional colors. Green and Gold!
The next step is to die cut a frame big enough to frame the clover grouping. Now using gold embossing powder stamp and emboss the clover portion of the background onto black card stock then fussy cut it out. Next gold emboss or gold foil a sentiment on black paper.
Now cut a green piece of card stock to a layer three for an A-2 card. On this, white emboss the entire St. Patrick’s Day stamp. This layer should be placed onto a gold layer 2 then onto a black card base.
The final step is to assemble the pieces. Using foam tape attach the gold clover over the embossed clover on the card layer. Attach the frame then again using foam tape attach the sentiment. Add a few gold sequins and the card is finished.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all! Enjoy the day.
