Hello friends. I feel like I’m knee deep in Christmas cards. I’m trying so hard to get them finished and in the mail before it’s too late.

Today I have another card using Holly Berries and I’m absolutely loving how it looks.

I arranged the four holly branches across a 4¼ x 5½ piece of black watercolor paper. I’m going to be my Misti stamping tool because I want to make sure I get a good impression.

I prepped the panel first with a powder tool. Can’t have any stray embossing powder. I then inked up the images with Clear Embossing Glue. I used the First Impression Smooshing tool to make sure I got a good impression. I actually had to ink and stamp multiple times. Watercolor paper has more texture than most papers.

I then generously sprinkled gold embossing powder over the image and heat set it with a heat gun.

Since I was using black paper, I really wanted to the color to be bright and shiny. I pulled out my Iuile color shift watercolors. They really add so much to this image.

I cut a circle from black cardstock and stamped the sentiment that came with the Holly Berries set. I added foam dimension tape to the back of the circle and attached it to my card front.

This card was quick and easy to make. It will be making its way to family and friends soon.

Until next time – Jackie ❤
