Welcome to the weekend! Sharon here, do you still have Valentine’s cards to make? The Hipster Valentines Stamp Set is great for something a bit different! I used a number of products for this card, read on for how I created it.

I started by arranging my stamps onto white stamping card in my Misti this is great for stamping multiple images at once. They were inked with Color Hive Remarkable Ink Pad and stamped on the cardstock, which were then colored with alcohol markers.

Once colored I moved on to my background, I love the color of the Color Hive Welsh Dragon Ink, I had used similar colors in my coloring so my background just had to coordinate. I made masks to cover the images by stamping them again on to masking paper.

Of course the Bokeh Circles Stencil is perfect for the effect I wanted to achieve, once my images were covered I placed the smaller of the stencils into the position I wanted my green ‘bubbles’ fixing it in place with masking tape. A blending brush was used to lightly ink through the stencil. After removing and cleaning the stencil (so as not to contaminate my inks) I turned it 90 degrees and repeated the process with Color Hive ink in Tiptree Jam. Some of the ‘bubbles’ overlap but this is how the photography Bokeh effect looks. There are 4 stencils in the set but I chose just to use the smallest so as not to distract from my images too much.

Building the card was simple, again so as not to distract from the images. I coordinated my cardstock with my ink using Welsh dragon Solid Core. and a simple white card base.

I matted the base with the green cardstock and added my card front with foam tape to give some dimension. Folding the card base with the To The Point Teflon Bone Folder to get a sharp crease.

Finally gave the card a little more detail and dimension with Crystal Clear Maker’s Magic Glue.

I covered the red heart which gave a gloss as well as a raised effect.

If you love my creation I would love to know in the comments and of course head over to the store for all the goodies I have used!
