Hello fellow card makers,
Today’s card is a reflection of the times we live in. I am using the Maker Forte ‘Hipster Valentines’ Stamp Set, Dots and Patterns paper and Tessa Dots stencil to create this card. I wanted to make a modern day card using images of modern folks. I hope you agree with the premise that card making can reflect reality in relationships both romantic and plutonic.

I started the card by stamping the focal images and coloring them. I used Copic markers for the coloring. I realized I could make the card a standard A-2 horizontally. (5.5×4.25 in) I think most folks like making this size card if possible.

Next I chose the card base and the layer one paper. The black and white paper is from the Dots and Patterns pad of paper. The layer one is standard pink card stock on which I stenciled the darker pink dots onto it. I used the Tessa Dots stencil for this process.

My final step was to assemble the images onto the layers using glue and foam tape to add dimension to the card front. The sentiment was chosen to be versatile and useable for romantic and plutonic relationships. Lastly, I felt the card needed a bit of bling and added a few sequins.
I often wish others would share their cards made as a result of seeing my design.
