Hello friends! Katy here with a simple holiday card using text/word stamps to create quick holiday cards.

I’m using the Build A Modern Christmas and Poinsettia Stamp Sets today, but again any holiday words you have will work for this technique. This type of card is also great for beginners!

I first took Cotswold Green Color Hive Ink and smooshed some color on my glass mat and then sprayed my hot pressed watercolor paper with water and smooshed the paper in the ink. I then dried the paper with my heat gun. I then added some Palm Tree and Everglades ink to my glass mat and sprayed it with water to blend the colors and then smooshed my watercolor paper in until I was satisfied with the color and then dried the panel again with my heat tool.

I took several of the words from the Build A Modern Christmas stamp set and laid them out diagonally and picked them up with my MISTI door and stamped them with Everglades Color Hive Ink.

I have a video tutorial below that shares all the details, click here to watch on Youtube if you have trouble watching on the blog.

To finish off the panel I used some embossing ink on all four edges and added some gold embossing powder and then heat set until smooth and melted.

I created sentiment strips with the words Peace & Joy from the Poinsettia stamp set inked up with Telephone Box Color Hive Ink and then stamped again with clear embossing ink and added Clear Embossing Powder and heat set for a glossy finish. I then added the gold embossing powder around the edge to coordinate with the main background panel.
