Hello friends,

I know we are all in the depths of Christmas card making. Soon it will be time to mail them all out to our friends and loved ones. I really get excited when I get a full card front stamp that can be used in many colors with or without embellishments and different types of inks or embellishments. This card is one of them. The Maker Forte ‘Oh Holy Night’ Stamp is one of them.

I start with choosing my colors for the card. I thought the card would look very elegant in silver and dark blue. I stamped the image and embossed it with silver powder. Note the beautiful nativity in the O in the large sentiment. I find it very appropriate and very clever. Next, using the speckled Background Stamp from a Maker Forte I stamped all around the central 8mage and embossed them in silver also. This step could be done on many different Christmas colors and inked or embossed in co -ordinating colors.

The next step was to cut the card base out of silver card stock. To brighten up the card a bit more I decided to stamp the additional sentiment in navy blue on a white card stock. I soon realized the white strip through off the balance of the card. I needed to add more white to the card. What better then to add an inside thin frame to spread the white over the entire card. So I did!

The final step is to attach all the pieces to the card base. Once this is completed I decided to add a few clear sequins to complete the card. I did use foam tape under the additional sentiment to give a bit of dimension to the card.

I hope to see a similar card as mine done in a different set of Christmas colors. Keep working and you too will soon be finished with making your cards for Christmas mailing.
