Merry Christmas friends,

Thank you for taking the time to check out my card. As I often do, I pick out my background papers that I feel will accent the main focal image. I am making a holiday card that will work for a masculine Christmas card. For this card I used paper from the Alex Siberia designer paper pad, the sentiment from the ‘Oh Holy Night’ Stamp Set and ‘Deer Builder’ Stamp Set all from the recent Marker Forte holiday release.

First I stamp the focal image, the deer head, then colored it using Copic markers. Next I die cut the fireplace and assembled the pieces and added coloring to accent it. Then I die cut a shape to be used as a mounting board for the deer head.

The final step is to assemble all the pieces into a Slimline card. At this time I decided to stamp the sentiment onto dark red card stock using white embossing powder. Now I felt there needed to be more red on the card so I decided to use a layer of red between the focal layer and the white card base. As my final step I added a few sequins to finish the card.

I hope you enjoyed this card as much as I have enjoyed making it. Happy Holidays to you and yours!
