It’s been one of those weeks where many things converged all at once making it an interesting challenge at best! Finally today between the CAT scan and the installation of a new water heater, I managed to make a quick Mother’s Day card.
Since this was a last minute card, I needed it to be quick and easy!
I pulled out the gorgeous flora stamp set from Varada Sharma called “Love-Hope-Strength” and the “Celebrate All Mothers” sentiment set to create with.
I used some Scattered Straw distress oxide for the main part of the floral and Tea Dye for the center of the flowers. This stamp set is a fabulous layering set with lots of images that you can use on their own like I did here.
I wanted a subtle background effect so I lightly stamped my flowers and centers in the oxides. The sentiment is a beautiful blue so I added some blue cardstock layers behind the sentiment and card front.
I added some blue Crown Jewel gems. These are Vegas Strip gems. I am very stingy with these because this is one of my favorite colors!
As I was making my supply list to add here, I realized that these stamp sets are no longer available in the shop! (Did I tell you that it’s been one of those weeks?) I will link two other stamp sets that would work with this layout and technique.
