Good morning! Sharon here with a cheeky early Margarita ok it’s in a martini glass but who’s checking and it still tastes the same! It’s 5 o’clock somewhere and it contains fruit so maybe could class it as one of your 5 a day! My card is themed as a girlfriend card.

I started by making something shine! The My Best Wishes sentiment is from the Ephemera Set Birthday Elements. There are lots of different elements suitable for any birthday or like mine just for best wishes!

As these are printed in toner ink they are great for foiling. I used a green foil to it coordinated with the rest of my card.

My next step was to stamp out my images The Martini Builder set is great for cards for girlfriends – I built up the drink with various shades of green ink so it looks like a margarita. Of course using my Misti to make positioning of each layer easy.

I then added a lime slice, olives and of course a cocktail brolly! I used Eclipse Black Ink for the outlines and inks used for the glass for the fruits. Tiptree Jam was used for the brolly.

These were then fussy cut along with the margarita before moving on to my background. I chose to splatter my background BUT I hate messy crafting so I LOVE the Splatter Rubber Stamps I used Style 1 for this. As this is a rubber stamp, you can bend it to get the best splatter pattern for your design.

Using green ink you could almost imagine a messy bar after drinking a few too many.

Finally I built my card.

Using Welsh Dragon Solid Core Cardstock for my base, I added foam tape to my splattered card and a combination of Foam Squares and Maker’s Magic Crystal Clear Glue my elements were arranged on the card front.

I think I need that margarita now!
