Happy May 1st! Jen here today sharing a Mother’s Day (May 8th) card using some previously released Maker Forte products.
The stamp sets that I will be using are the Calming Cosmos set and Trans-Atlantic Mother’s Day. The second set is no longer available; however, the Motherhood is a Blessing stamp set or Simple Sayings Spring Celebrations are great alternatives!
For my card today, I am using a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock cut to 4 ¼ x 5 ½.
First, I stamped the florals from the Calming Cosmos stamp set using Color Hive Clear ink. Next, I covered the clear ink with white embossing powder and then heat set with a heat gun.
Next, I placed the Radiating Lines stencil over the card panel. Texture was added by applying matte opaque paste through the stencil over various areas of the card panel.
Once the paste was dry, Color Burst powders in Prussian Blue, Wisteria and Fuchsia were added to the panel and activated with water. These colors were moved around, heat set and painted with a brush to achieve the desired look. With portions of the panel still wet, Shooting Star Kaleidoscope powder was sprinkled over different areas of the panel to give a beautiful, sparkly effect.
To add even more texture water was splattered over the card, covered with white embossing powder and heat set with a heat gun.
The card was completed by stamping the Happy Mother’s Day sentiment from the Trans-Atlantic Mother’s Day stamp set along with a small flower from the Calming Cosmos stamp set.

I hope you create something today! Thanks so much for stopping by!
