Hi there! Christmas is fast approaching but there’s still time to create some cards! Today I’ll be using the Holly Berries stamp set, Vintage Music paper pack and Vintage Holiday Postage Stamps.
I started out with a piece of 4 ¼ x 5 ½ Strathmore watercolor paper. Since I will be creating a no-line watercolor piece, I stamped up the holly berry images with Distress Oxide Antique Linen.
The images were then colored using Mission Gold watercolors. After the watercolor had dried completely, Antique Linen Distress Oxide was blended into the white areas of the background. Next, a square nesting die was used to create a thin frame. Then a cream piece of 4 ¼ x 5 ½ piece of paper was trimmed about 1/8 around each side. The watercolor piece was then adhered to the cream paper. This piece was then adhered to the thin frame.
An envelope was then created using the Vintage Music paper pack. Once the envelope was completed, several stamps were cut from the Vintage Holiday Postage Stamps sheet with decorative scissors.
