Hi there,
It’s Kaja from Kajcyika crafts and today I am continuing my one layer card series! this time I decided to show you how to make a simple one layer card on patterned paper for even cooler effect!
Take a look:

I started making this card by decided which pattern paper to use and in the end I went with a beautiful blue and green paper from Watercolor Sentiments Slimline. Next, trimmed it down to a size of a card base and then started creating directly on top of it.
I stamped out a flower from You matter to me stamp set towards the left side of the card. I used alcohol marker friendly ink in black color.

Since I wanted the original colors of the paper to show through, I used just a bit of gray on top of the blooms to add shadows. To make the bloom even more realistic, I added some yellow at the center.
Once I was done, I added some glitter using the Neptune kaleidoskope powder which I watered down. When I was applying it to the image, I made sure I didn’t water it too much, since the paper I used for the base isn’t watercolor friendly.

The last thing I added was the sentiment that reads ‘For you’ and can also be found in You matter to me stamp set. I used black ink which makes the image bold and easy to read.
That’s it for today! Thank you so much for joning me. Let me know in the comments if you are enjoying this one layer card series or not and if you like the idea of one layer card on patterned paper!
Hugs,
Kaja
