First off, let me wish all my American friends a happy and safe Memorial Day.
With graduation season in full swing, I thought this sentiment sent a powerful message to the new graduate. Basically I read it to say – You make your own choices in life.
To make the card, I started out by making my own background. I chose two stamps from Boho Watercolor Elements stamp set, an open circle and a circle. Using a t-ruler, I found the center of the A2 panel. I stamped the open circle first in Coral Keys ink, centering it over my pencil mark. I then stamped the smaller circle with Vegas Strip around its four sides. Repeating the pattern until the entire panel was covered.

Knowing I didn’t have a cardstock that would match either of these two colors, I decided to make my own. I have a bin full scrap pieces of cardstock. I found one that was the size that I needed. With the ink pad at a slight angle, I ran it across the strip. At first the color is splotchy, but it evens out as it dries.

Next, I placed the airplane from the new On Track stamp set in my Misti positioning tool. Don’t know what I did before I had it. It’s certainly a life changer. I inked up the image with Eclipse Black ink and applied slight pressure using my Smoosher Tool. It stamped beautifully the first time. Since my Misti was still out, I stamped the sentiment
As you’ve probably figured out by now, I LOVE my Copic markers. I used them any chance I get. I decided that the background was so busy that I would add just a little highlight to the airplane. I Used four makers from the same family. C00, C01, C03, and C05.

I assembled the card by gluing the stamped back ground to an A2 Top Fold card base. Being careful that I had the base right side up. Then adhered the blue stripe a little higher than center and added a white circle over it. I fussy cut the plane and the sentiment and positioned them over top the white circle.

Thank you for following along.
Until next time – Jackieā¤
