Hello! It’s Kari here today with a fun card using patterned paper and a peony. I was inspired by the new paper pack designed by Alex Syberia, and I chose a couple papers to start out.
The “You are Amazing” paper really jumped out at me. This starts as a basic black and white paper, but add a little color to a few words and you get your sentiment already built in! I chose a purple and orange floral paper to add as an accent….which is what inspired the peachy-orange peony.

The longest part of putting this card together was coloring that peony. This is from an Alex Syberia stamp set called Sketched Peony.

I used Copic Markers to color that peony in the colors: YR15, R21, E01. These colors may seem like they don’t go together, but with a little love, they blend so nicely making a peachy-orange color. Once it was all colored, I took a dark brown colored pencil and added some dark areas in the “nooks & crannies.”
I colored in the “You are Amazing” with the darkest orange color. I popped up the flower with two layers of foam tape for extra dimension
For the center of the flower, I added some Liquid Pearls. These dry dimensional and add a little tactile interest to the card.

That’s all you need to make a fabulous card! I love that the patterned paper does most of the work for you! This paper pack has so many bright and fun papers included.

I have listed the supplies below so you can check them out!

Such a fun card to create! I hope you enjoyed this project. I’ll be back soon with more card ideas.
