Happy Tuesday! Today I’m creating a fun, shimmery card using kaleidoscope powders and Pearl Ex.

There’s also a quick video tutorial!

I start out with a piece of white cardstock cut to 4 ¼ x 5 ½. I then apply an anti static bag to the panel. Next, the card panel is positioned in a stamping platform. Then, five of the stamps from the Retro Builder Base set are added and inked up using embossing/watermark ink.

Now it’s the fun part! The dual tip powder brush is dipped into the Neptune kaleidoscope powder and then pounced over the inked up lines on the card panel. The same process was followed to add the color Solar Flare. Once the panel is covered in shimmery powder, the excess is tapped off and the rainbow clean-up brush is swiped over horizontally and vertically to remove any excess powder. The powder is then by spraying with hairspray.

Once the hairspray has dried on the panel, the big poinsettia from the Poinsettia stamp set is inked up in embossing ink and stamped over the image. Pearl Ex in the color Blue Russet is applied using the same method as above and sealed with hairspray.

I also used the Pearl Ex powder for the sentiment from the Poinsettia stamp set as well as the Classic Holiday Words dies set from PinkFresh Studio.

The card panel was trimmed and added to a piece of 4 ¼ x 5 ½ black cardstock. The sentiments were adhered with glue and several Crown Jewel Gems in the color Rhubarb Ripple were added.

This was such a fun card to create!

I hope you create something today! Thanks so much for stopping by!
