Hi there, it’s Kaja from Kajcyika crafts, and today I have prepared a shiny stenciled card for which I also prepared a video tutorial!

Take a look:

Please take a look at the video tutorial on how to make this card (psst, there is also a giveaway happening on my YouTube channel):

Making the Card

I started making this card by creating the background using the Tree Line Base stencil. Next, I decided to go with a galaxy look, for which I applied three colors of Distress Oxide Ink directly to the background. Then, I covered it with black ink.

To get that cool looking galaxy look, I added some stars with white paint. Next, I used a Mini Mister to spread the Neptune kaleidoscope powder around the background. If you haven’t tried the powders, you really should! They are super easy to use and give beautiful results!

Next, I stamped out a cute Christmas snail that can be found in the Bah Humbug stamp set. I colored it in using alcohol markers in traditional Christmas colors. I made sure that the colors match with the background, so I used blue colors for the gifts. To make the stamped images even more interesting, I added some white gel pen details.

The only thing left to do was add the sentiment, and I decided to go with ‘Merry & Bright’ that can be found in Build Your Own Christmas. I used black ink on white paper to get enough contrast on the card.

I glued everything together using liquid glue and double-sided foam tape, and the card was all finished!

Tell me in the comments which is your favorite technique for a shiny stenciled card!
