Hello and happy Monday friends! I know I’m not alone when it comes to masculine cards…they can be a bit hard to make sometimes. That is where the silhouette stamps from Maker Forte come in handy! All you need is a bit of ink blending and you have a quick and simple but still gorgeous card! For my card today I used the Lakeside Lures Slimline Stamp & Stencil set. The great thing is that it comes with a co-ordinating stencil as well, so you can ink blend easily. However, for my card today I used just the stamp.

To start I randomly cut down a piece of heavy weight cardstock so that it was larger than my stamp, as it has a border all around the image. The border would be easy to trim it down in the end. I placed it in my stamp positioner and brushed on my anti-static powder, as I would be heat embossing it. Next I inked up the image with the Color Hive Clear Embossing ink a few times. This would ensure a good stamped impression. I added my black embossing powder and heat set that. I allowed that cool to and began my ink blending.

I started with Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and continued upwards followed by Chipped Sapphire, Mermaid Lagoon, Salvaged Patina, Rusty Hinge and then Fossilized Amber. Once I was done, I added some water droplets on the blue water part using my Distress Sprayer. For the cardbase I cut a piece of the heavy weight cardstock to 7.5″x 8″ and scored and folded it at the 4″ mark. I trimmed down my stamped image along the black border and mounted it on my cardbase using some foam squares. For the sentiment I decided to use a sympathy sentiment. I turned to the All Seasons Sentiments 6×6 Paper Pack for this. This is such a calming and peaceful scene, that it would be perfect to send to someone that has lost a loved one.

These silhouette images make such easy and quick cards, but they are such beautiful images that it doesn’t take much to make them come alive. Thank you so very much for stopping by.
