Hello everyone! My name is Carisa and I am thrilled to be going the Maker Forte design team this year! For my first card, I couldn’t wait to pull out this stamp from the April 2021 release. It has 4 jumbo size sentiments and two super cute images – I just LOVE the piñata and knew I had to incorporate that in my card. Being of Mexican heritage, I have a huge family so I wanted to keep the cards super simple to produce so I could mail out a bunch. Let me explain what I did and if you want to see the full card process, please scroll to the full video at the bottom of the post.

When opting for a simple card design I chose this large sentiment to be my focal point – now it was definitely scream to me to color in each of the words Cinco BUT that would defeat my goal of a super simple card to create and recreate multiple times…so, I opted for my trusty watercolors to do a simple background wash. After I created the wash, I stamped it in black ink. The Marker Forte black ink is awesome and delivers a really crisp image!

This darling piñata is so cute! I stamped it on Perfect Blend A2 card front and after coloring it with Copic markers, fussy cut the image out. This part was probably the most time consuming but still when creating multiples not too bad because I can stamp multiple images on one piece of paper, color at the same time and fussy cut. Once that was done, I added some glue to the mane and tail and sprinkled on some sugar sparkle glitter in Eclipse Black. I actually love the texture it added to the image!

After that it was just simply adhering the card together. I used a bit of foam tape for the watercolor panel and then this die cut this frame out of gold glitter paper. I popped up the piñata on foam squares and adhered it to the bottom of the card. I really love the way it turned out! If I want to change up the card just a bit I could definitely change out the piñata image with the tequila image. ha! Easy Peasy! Now I’m ready to Fiesta Like There’s No Mañana with some chips and salsa! What is your favorite image from this stamp set?

Enjoy this process video showing how to create this card yourself! Thank you so much for stopping by the Marker Forte Blog today! I hope you enjoyed this post.
