It’s Kaja from Kajcyika crafts and today I am back at Maker Forte blog with a simple card that is perfect for summer days! It features a simple ink blending that is really easy to do and takes no time!

I must admit that I fell in love with the new Seaside Silhouettes stamp set as soon as I saw it, which is also the reason why I started making this card with the dreamy design in my mind.
First, I took a piece of white card stock that is suitable for ink blending and choose three colors of ink that go good together. I ended up going with dark blut, light blue and light green color which creates a nice sky look. For the ink blending, I started with the darkest color first and then blend it towards the bottom of the paper. I made sure that the bottom part is left white, which optically makes the top the center of the card.
Next, I took the Seaside Silhouettes stamp set and stamped the hammock design directly in the middle of the ink blended area. The most important trick to this card is, to choose a right black ink that will cover the ink blending. I decided to go with Maker Forte Eclipse black and as you can see it works like magic!
I wanted to left the design quite simple, so I decided to add a sentiment that says ‘Have a relaxing day’ from the Seaside Sentiments. The staming was done on a piece of white card stock with the same black ink as I used for the silhouette.
The last thing that I did, was trimming down the ink blended piece slightly, so it fits on a card front leaving a little white border around the edges.
Then, I glued everything together using double sided tape and foam tape and the card was done in no time!
