Hi there,
It’s Kaja from Kajcyika crafts and today I made a simple Valentine’s day card featuring a cute dinosaur. Valentine’s day is quickly approaching, so I decided to make a cute card for my boyfriend.

Take a look:

I started making this card by creating the background and I wanted to make a simple card that would be suitable for a man, so I decided to use stenciling technique. First, I wasn’t sure which color to use, but in the end I decided to use silver paste that will add both, color and dimension to the card.

When I am making a card using a paste, I make sure that that’s the first step I take, since the paste always needs some time to dry. I was lucky and the paste was dry quickly, so I was able to move on in no time.

The stencil used is called Stepped cubes and I only used it fowards the left edge of the card. This creates a focal point for the image that will be placed on top.

Next, I stamped out the cute dinosaur with a heart in it’s hands from the Rawrsome stamp set. I used black ink for stamping and then color the image in using alcohol markers. The coloring is simple and I only used two colors — green and pink.

Then, I cut the focal background with the stenciling down, to be slightly smaller than the card base. To add a bit more contrast to the background, I added some black stripes using just a black pen and ruller.

The last thing I did was to glue everthing together and the card was finished in no time.

Thank you so much for joining me! Let me know in the comments if you like to make Valentine’s day cards or not.

Hugs,
Kaja
