Hi friends! I have a single layer card and a stepped up version with layers to share with you today using the Long Stem Rose stamp set. I love the sweet images in this set. It also has 3 sentiment stamps that I already have plans to use in a scrapbook layout!

Aren’t the sentiments fabulous? I have lots of garden photos to scrapbook and I think these sentiments would be perfect for those photos!

My cards are created with the long stem rose image which I inked in Flamingo and Cotswold Green Maker Forte inks. I used the Frappe ink with the Cobblestone Stencil. I LOVE this stencil for backgrounds like this one. (It is also perfect for critter cards!) My sentiments are stamped in Eclipse Black ink.

You can also see that one card is a single layer card and the other has a Tip Tree Jam cardstock layer. My card front is cut at 4 x 5-1/4″ while the Tip Tree Jam layer is cut at 4-1/8 x 5-3/8″. I just wanted to see a peek of color around the edge.

I actually prefer this card without the layer. I love making single layer cards. I added a little of the Flamingo ink around the edge of my card front for contrast.

My cards both have the new Lady Liberty Crown Jewel Gems to finish them off as well.

I only do layers if I am using a liquid adhesive instead of foam or adhesive tape. The liquid adhesive gives me some badly needed wiggle room time to get my layers straight!!
