Hello, it’s Kari here today with a fun video and post! I’m using a FAVORITE set from the new release called To A Friend. It’s designed by Alex Syberia and has a girl with a big hat! This image also comes with lots of great sentiments, including one that’s perfect for a slimline card.

I’m sharing tips for creating both sizes of cards in the video below, as well as Copic coloring tips and colors, AND a photo of Alexandra with purple hair! (I hope I don’t get in trouble for this, Alex!) This photo I share is from the very first time I met Alexandra at Creativation in 2018. I did not remember that she had purple hair when I first met her, but I realize that maybe that’s why I colored up one of the girls with purple hair! Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube:

Card 1: Slimline

For the first card, I stamped the long sentiment onto a slimline card panel and heat embossed it in clear. I stamped the “Happy Flowers” stamp set around the sentiment with a light pink ink. I colored the flowers on the hat with a similar shade of pink, and colored the centers yellow. I share a tutorial of the coloring in the video.

Then I fussy cut the image and added it to the card panel with foam squares. I added three clusters of Celtic Green gems to the background to finish it off.

Card 2: A2 Size

For the second card, I stamped the image onto an A2 panel (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″). Then I colored it up in a similar fashion, but using different colors.

I masked off the image and used a blending brush to lightly add some yellow ink around her. Doesn’t this make her GLOW?! Then I inked on some turquoise ink around the edges.

I stamped the sentiment and the hearts in red ink, and added some yellow gems to the center of the flowers.

I love her big hat and sunglasses! I added a scalloped frame around the edges and that’s it!

I hope you enjoyed these projects today! I’ve listed the supplies below if you are interested in checking them out.

See you soon with more cards to share,

Kari
